Happy Ending
After a whirlwind morning of packing and piling stuff into my sister's car, Fuller, Austina, and I were on our way South to head home. We really enjoyed our extended family time in Ohio, but it was time to head back to our global corners and keep up with the lives we had before the holiday mayhem and foolishness.
Even Fuller knew our time was up when this morning, after McDad prayed for our trip, he walked up to Austina, took her keys, and said, "It's time."
I have no interesting tales of traffic or accidents (which is just the way I like it) but we do have the happy ending of coming home to the open arms of Damon and the warmth of our house. Fuller took about an hour to play with every toy he owns before we moved him through the motions of getting ready for bed. We promised tomorrow he could play his bike game for as long as he wants. I promise not to get out of my pajamas until after noon.
Our regularly scheduled lives will return on Saturday, when we try to get this house back into organized chaos. I might have to start with the laundry.
