Sunday School starts again
Last week was our first Sunday School class since we abruptly quit last May. Today was our last Sunday School class of the year. We pick up again in January 2008.
We are thrilled to be teaching in the new space. The Sunday School rooms are warm and inviting. They still smell new from the fresh paint. The air is still filled with excitement as the halls are filled with students ready to learn and play. Today, as we arrived surrounded by snow flurries, we were very happy for the new central heat, since for many years past we have been using space heaters, coats, and gloves.
No shivering occurred while we cut out shapes and glued them to make angels.
Fuller's Sunday School experience is going to take some getting used to. He gets distracted by the toys and still prefers the free form play of the nursery. Last week he wouldn't color but this week he left class with two Christmas crafts- an angel and a sheep. I look forward to more Sundays like this, and thank Mrs. W for having the patience to teach Fuller at that time.
I think we are going to have a great Sunday School year in our new building. I'm so happy for the new space.
