And the gifts just keep on coming

Back at Thanksgiving I was able to assist my mother-in-law with purchasing our family's gift. We received a membership to the Tennessee Aquarium. I have always wanted one of these, and was so happy she offered to get one for us.

Our new membership cards arrived last Saturday. Tuesday Fuller and I broke it in.

After Fuller's playdate with Luke was given a raincheck, Esther called and asked if we could get together on Tuesday morning since she didn't have to work. I immediately said, "Let's go to the aquarium!" Since Esther's family had a membership as well, it worked out for us to meet and bring along Heather and Jonas.

It took us about two and half hours to make it through both sections of the aquarium. I was the only one who had a camera, but the day was throughly documented.

While portions of the aquarium did give me some vertigo (looking through the thick glass can do that), we still enjoyed watching the kids run around exclaiming over the water life they saw. The penguin exhibit was fun and we even got to see some Santa Scuba Divers giving a presentation in the Secret Reef.

Fuller's favorite part was playing the touch tank of Sturgeons. He, Jonas, and Luke got sufficiently wet splashing while the Sturgeons ate their lunch.

I see this as the gift that keeps on giving. We can go as often as we like, for as long (or short) as we like. We can take friends with us and make it a real outing. Or just a quick trip inside when we visit Daddy for lunch.
