Front porch: progress in primer

I am happy to announce I have started the priming on the front porch painting project.

And the floor came tumbling downRemember the good times when we had no front porch or only half a front porch? Well, we have had a full front porch for a while now, complete with railings that need painting.

I still don't know how it happened or why it happened, but somehow I became the one in charge of painting the front porch. I put it off all summer (the heat will kill me) and now that we have touched on cooler temperatures, I decided that painting the front porch is now possible. I want it complete before Halloween, so it looks nice for the trick or treaters.

As soon as Fuller was put down for his nap, I started the prep. Taping, dusting, wiping, cleaning, putting down plastic. I mixed the primer and got started. I didn't get far, but I know I will get farther tomorrow. And when we get back from travel, I will get even farther. Baby steps... just don't step in the paint.
