Countdown to magic

We are counting down the days and activities until July 1st. That is the day we load up the Grand Prix and drive at the comfortable speed of 55 until we reach the piece of Crumley family history- The Lake Cabin.

Of course, if you have been there, you know it isn't a cabin anymore. It is a large retreat of peaceful tranquility and six bathrooms. So much has been done to the house, the land, and even the shoreline, that it is a shadow of the cabin that Damon grew up visiting every summer. (And rumor has it that there are more changes waiting us when we get there.)

We like to encourage the change, and the new decorations with giving gifts of lawn art and wind chimes. They help bring Albert and Linda's personalities from inside to outside of the house, so you have an idea of who you might be staying with.

The porches are great places to hang the chimes and hear in the evening adding to the magical evening breezes that the lake brings. And now that summer is almost here (tomorrow is the first day, right?) those kinds of summer decoration are popping up everywhere and there are wind chimes for all kinds of personalities. We might have to get some for our own porch.
