Last day tomorrow

The walls go up, May 17th, 2007Tomorrow is the last day of Sunday school at our church. Because of the construction that is currently going on, we have to end our year early. Not that anyone minds, since we really need the expansion to occur.

It has been an interesting experience teaching Sunday School. The kids are comfortable with us, enough that they come up to us and hug us, or chat with us on the playground. They like coloring and playing games, which is great to fill the time when we finish the lesson early.

The kids are really sharp with knowing their Bible stories. They are a credit to their parents who have read them the stories, prayed with them, and taught them who the true God is and how awesome a gift Jesus is. The children enjoy learning even more, or telling us the answers to the questions that we throw out at them.

We aren't sure if we will teach again next year, but I know that when the new building is open for business the classes will be full of children ready to learn and worship God. And that is a great thing.
