Happy to be here

Today I am happy to stay home and miss Mom's group. Today I am happy to clean the kitchen and the fridge. Today I am happy be waiting and waiting for the delivery man to come.

Today I get a new refrigerator.

Our old fridge is dying. It is barely cold and Fuller has no milk until we get a new fridge.

I ordered the fridge yesterday, for delivery this afternoon. But I got a call about 20 minutes ago from the delivery guy and since their morning delivery is close to here, they will probably be here before noon!

Every time we make a "big" purchase like this (new couch, new bed, roomba, new fridge), it makes me feel more and more like the 30 year old that I am. Maybe because with great power (or a tax refund to cover the purchase) comes great responsibility (like keeping it clean and well maintained), something I wouldn't have really thought about when I was 20.

If you are curious, the new fridge is this one. It has two things going for it- it is white, and fits the current space for a fridge, which runs a bit smaller than standard refrigerators.

Yippee! Household appliances give me such a thrill.
