Today is Mother's Day or I've become a pod person

While at the lake, my sister-in-law introduced me to the single serve coffee maker. Specifically, the Black and Decker Home Café machine. She used the premade pods, but there was also a My Pod maker, something that will allow me to make my own coffee pods with freshly ground coffee.

When I got home I told Damon that is what I wanted for Mother's Day.

I spent some time online looking around at different single serve coffee machines, and looking at different costs. Over on MyCoupons I found coupons for the actual pods, but nothing on a coffee maker. So I checked out their community section, their forums, and I found a few deals.

I like My Coupons, because they have the most coupons of any site I have seen before (10,296 to be exact). If I really focused on coupons, I could collect points on the site, based on my activity, and those points could translate into Visa Gift Cards!

However, this morning I went to Wal-Mart and guess what was in their clearance section, for only $35?

So the Home Café is now sitting in my kitchen, having brewed a few cups of decent coffee. I used some pre-made pods, and look forward to coming back home to make my own pods.

And today is my Mother's Day. Whoo-hoo!
