While momma's away...

Damon got to play.

Since he has been back at work, Damon and some guy friends have started making an effort to get together once a month to play games or see a movie together. This past Friday they got together at our house, since it was a wife-and-kids-free zone.

Apparently they had a good time. I think it was the largest group of guys to get together since they started. They played Transamerica (which has nothing to do with that movie) and Mississippi Queen, both games that I really enjoy.

Maybe in May we can start getting our other friends together again to play more games. Damon's parents used to get together every Friday to play nickel and dime poker, which might be fun to do with some of our friends (especially Trippy).

Executive Gaming Monthly is a game of the month club that allows you to pick from various casino games and then they send you the supplies each month. You can pick from various levels of play (player, high roller, and whale levels) which is good because I would need the lowest level possible.

I would probably have to invest in some of their educational poker books, because I am really not that great. Which is why we might stick to Transamerica.
