Egg-tabulous

Today we have an Easter egg hunt at the new playground. It is chilly outside, but the organizers have told us they will keep the kids running around to keep warm.

The families who attend are asked to bring a dozen candy filled eggs to go into hunt, so yesterday I bought the fixings for that. Plastic eggs and candy. Should be simple enough right? Well, the eggs were easy to find, but the candy was difficult. I didn't want to spend a lot of money (yes, I am cheap) but it was like the Easter candy aisle had already been emptied. I couldn't find jelly beans! How can you have Easter eggs without jelly beans?

I ended up with the item with the most sugar in it- sugar. Ok, not really. I actually ended up with those candy eggs made of sugar. They fit perfectly in the plastic eggs. But get this- there were only eleven of them in the bag. So one of our dozen eggs has two mini-Cadbury eggs in it. I guess that's our golden ticket.

Hope we stay warm!
