For Dad: a link about NASCAR

We have received two emails from my dad since he left for Afghanistan. He is "stuck" in Italy because the weather at the next leg of his trip is too bad. I say "stuck" because really, is that a bad thing? My mom said that if he is still there tomorrow he and some of his new friends (he can make friends anywhere) will be going to Venice for the day.

I am glad that he is somewhere that he has access to some comforts of home- internet and movies. He went to see Happy Feet at the base theater, which is funny because we just went to see it!

Anyway, I know he will be missing lots of things while he is gone and I hope that he has appropriate access to the internet when he is settled. He assures me he will, but I still worry about that. Sure, that bin Laden character has me pretty worried, but will Daddy have the internet? Priorities people! Priorities.

I kid.

I know one of the things Daddy might miss out on will be watching NASCAR and following his favorite driver- Jeff Gordon. Well, I hope Daddy sees this entry so that he can learn about the motorsport blog. He can follow their NASCAR entries and keep up there.

And if I know Daddy, I am sure he will find friends at his base who are equally excited about NASCAR and will happily pass along the link as well.
