Can I see you now?

My parents gave us a pair of binoculars for Christmas. Actually, they gave me and my sisters each a pair. My mom got some buy one, get two free deal, which I think is pretty smart. See, each of us has a different need for binoculars.

I need binoculars to check out the many, many birds hanging around my yard in the spring and fall. I really want to get into birdwatching and know I don't have to go farther than my back yard to start. I was borrowing a pair of binoculars, but now I have my own!

My sister who lives in a college dorm has been wanting binoculars for the past few years. She desires to use them to look into the school parking lot and get the license plate numbers of the students who wake her up at 2 am with their bump-dee-bump hip hop bass thumping rap music. I guess she will use those plate numbers to get a better night's sleep.

And finally, my other sister lives in an apartment complex. This may not be true, but we kept joking that she and her husband could use the binoculars to check out the neighbors.

Now these binoculars are Promaster Vector 10x25 and are great for these small things. It's not like they are Bushnell rifle scopes or a Celestron SkyMaster, but they will be great to replace our opera glasses (cheap plastic freebie) that we use at the SEC tournament in March.
