    I do not recommend this movie

    Damon and I just watched Purple Butterfly, a film starring Zhang Ziyi. You might recognize her as the angry little girl from Rush Hour 2, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, and Hero. Well, Damon and I call her "the angry girl."

    Well when I rented this movie I thought it would be action packed martial arts, due to the casting of angry girl.

    Um, no. In fact this movie is so slow that we put it on 2X fast forward and it was still slow. There was barely any dialogue. And I wanted to turn it off, but it was so bad, we just had to keep watching.

    Poor screenplay, yucky cinematography, and an absolutely muddled timeline made for one really bad film.

    I do not recommend this film.

    She's not kidding about the 2X speed. Our DVD player still picks up the subtitles at 2X, so we watched the 2nd half of the movie at double speed. IT WAS STILL SLOW! That director needs to learn how to tell a story with shorter shots.
