Still cell free
The other day when Chad mentioned that he got a cell phone as a gift from his dad, something he has put off for years, it made me laugh out loud. Just last week I was discussing getting a cell phone.
Our family was toying with the idea of D and Fuller going down to the lake a few days earlier than me next week and while I don't mind driving myself (I kind of like it), I was thinking that having a cell phone would be a good idea. And since we would be traveling to Ohio the week after, I thought the time frame was a good one to invest in a pay-as-you go phone.
I was talking to my mom about it because if I did that I would have wanted a phone that was in the same network as my family, since that is who I call the most. But if I had seen the go phone deals at dealking.com, then I probably would have jumped the gun, purchased a Cingular go phone and received $20 back. That is actually the cost of the cheapest go phone, so that means in the end purchasing the phone would be free. That seems like a great deal to me.
We have decided to not send D and Fuller down early, so it became a moot point, but I have a feeling we won't be able to stay cell-free for much longer. Maybe I need a ticker on the sidebar "Cell free for ____ days." ![]()
