Season Pepper
In case you are not aware, this week is Customer Service Appreciation Week. I work in the customer service field so people are appreciating me and my co-workers this week. Every day has some sort of theme and there is lots and lots of candy. I have been bringing my candy home and dumping it in a bucket. I think we will use it to give out at Halloween. Or we might just eat it up while we watch Gilmore Girls this evening.
Anyway, each day has a theme and heck if I can remember what the themes are. All I know is today we were supposed to bring goodies to share. I decided last evening that I needed to share a certain goodie that I knew would be a hit. And the source of the recipe is a big surprise- my mother-in-law.
My MIL does not cook. The story is that when Albert and Linda got married, Linda's dad pulled Albert aside and said, "Son, she doesn't know how to cook, she doesn't want to learn to cook. She's all yours now."
So a really good recipe from a woman who doesn't cook is a pretty exciting thing.
And now I excitedly share it with you, just like I shared it with my co-workers today:
2 8 ounce packages of cream cheese
1 package of ranch dressing mix
Mix together, blending well.
Form into a ball and roll in LAWRY'S SEASONED PEPPER.
Chill overnight.
Spread on crackers and eat.
The Lawry's seasoned pepper is the key to this spread. Everyone who wanted the recipe said it was the best part. Linda gave me my own container of it because she said it was kind of hard to find.
Well, it was very easy to make and much appreciated.
Go hug a customer service representative today.
