Major Dad
A nice treat for me today was a visit with my Dad. He was traveling to General Assembly in Atlanta, so he figured he would stop and visit with the one person who made him a father- me! Sure, he has other daughters, but he was already a dad when they were born. I guess you could say I made him what he is today.
Yeah, right. If anything, I think he helped make me, me! He taught me kindness, how to listen, how to think before speaking, and most importantly how to turn to God at all times.
When I was tweleve we moved from Arizona to New York. Daddy and I left together in a 1976 Toyota Corolla, leaving my mom and sisters to follow a few weeks later. We drove for days, stopping in Memphis for a car problem. Daddy did not let me go see Graceland, but I think that was ok. I got to see Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade instead. That trip across country was one of many trips I have taken with my dad. And I know we will take many more.
We didn't get to have any in depth chats this time around, maybe later when we are all hanging out at the lake for the 4th of July. But for now, I am just really happy that I got to spend the day with my daddy.
pretty yellow walls! glad you got to hang out with Dad. It sounded like he had fun with Fullerman.
