Partially finished is still unfinished

We had a pretty busy weekend, what with all the ceiling tile placement and playing with Fuller. The bummer part is that our ceiling isn't finished yet. Turns out our ceiling tiles (which are planks that look like wood) are now special order instead of off the shelf purchases. So, we bought up all we could (even calling D's parents in AL to see if they could check out their Lowe's) and came up about 40 tiles short. We still went ahead and painted the ones we bought and installed them, but a partially finished ceiling is still an unfinished ceiling.
This coming weekend Fuller & I will fly to Florida for Tia Sarah-Ginny's graduation. Damon was hoping to install the lighting and get the rest of the moulding up in the living room while we were out of the way. Instead we have to wait 3-4 weeks for the rest of the tiles to arrive.
But, let's focus on the positive. 1. The hole that I made during my fall is now properly patched and gone. 2. The ugly over head light is gone, currently leaving us in the dark, but gone. 3. The partially finished, painted ceiling gives the room a warmer feel condusive to playing and cuddling and watching Texas Ranch House.
Slowly but surely our living room is getting the finishing touches it deserves. And that makes me happy.
This is what the dinning room ceiling looks like. It's what the living room will look like eventually.

Wow, that is pretty. Thanks for adding the pictures.
