Early Morning "Visit"
Fuller and I are spending the week at Lake Martin, Al. We arrived last night (Saturday) and stayed up rather late as Fuller surveyed his new and interesting surroundings.
Eager to continue exploring my parents' cabin, Fuller awoke at about 5:30 AM and insisted on being let out of his crib so he can get back to some serious playing.
In preparation for our visit, my parents tried to Fuller-proof the cabin, but I think they weren't counting on how much he's advanced since the last time they saw him (Christmas).
DONG!
At about 5:45 AM, we were all in the living room slowly waking up when the doorbell sounded. We all sorta sat-up rather quickly and looked around wondering, "who could that be this early?"
My parents scrambled around to make sure they were dressed before answering the door.
DONG!
The bell went off again just as my parents opened the back door to reveal... no one.
"Where's Fuller", I asked?
"I think he's in the sunroom", answered my Mom.
DONG!
Upon entering the sunroom, my mom discovered Fuller, excitedly pressing a remote control doorbell unit that he'd found. Apparently, when my Dad installed the doorbell, he only used one of the remote switches, and tossed the extra one into a cabinet drawer in the sunroom.
Needless to say, Fuller was NOT happy to give up his new toy.
that is hilarious! Even if it was at 5:45 in the morning. Hopefully he eventually got over giving up his new toy.
