New Year's Day (Observed)

Well, Fuller's exciting trip to the ER and the days following have un-grounded me from my blogging hiatus. I didn't quite make the "Be more organized" resolution of 2005, but I blame Fuller. He is such a great excuse to have around...

No milk? Blame Fuller.
No eggs? Blame Fuller.
No floor space? Blame Fuller.
Bed unmade? Blame Fuller.
Dust bunnies under the fridge? Blame Fuller.

Anyway, we did manage to get the laundry clean, dry, folded, and put away, but somehow it seems time to do it all again. Ug. And the house did get semi-straight. Having the bug man and a babysitter come by will kick my butt into gear to get things put away or shoved somewhere out of sight.

Thursday night Damon and I begged a friend (hi Jeep!) to come and watch Fuller so we could have a night out. We had dinner at Logan's and went to see (finally!) Narnia. Damon & I both enjoyed the movie and Damon, who recently read the book for the first time, said that it was very close to the book. The next day I plowed through the next two books (Prince Caspian & Voyage of the Dawn Treader) as a refresher for what happens next.

And today, I am off from work, since New Year's Day was on a Sunday. Football will rule the schedule, which is fine with me because we plan on watching it at Damon's office (who is also observing New Year's today). I won't have to look at the piles of empty Lego boxes (Damon needs to recycle) and I can ignore the laundry for one more day.

It is a good way to keep 2006 going.
