Holiday question
This is a totally serious question and I would like your answer in the comments section...
Do you like eggnog?
yes. a bit thick, but yummy. and dont forget the booze of course.
Posted by: bobw at December 12, 2005 02:58 PMYes ma'am. Hated it as a kid, though.
Posted by: Rebecca at December 12, 2005 02:59 PMYes, but the Land 'o Lakes egg nog that I recnetly bought is kind of gross. I miss the Harrisburg Dairies egg nog that I grew up with.
Posted by: Scott at December 12, 2005 03:20 PMOh, BobW brought up a good issue. Extra point question- with or without the nog? We don't put alcohol in ours. And I like Mayfield a lot.
Posted by: mrscrumley at December 12, 2005 03:31 PMboy howdie! oh yes. homemade is better than store, but I can handle the store if it's tampered with a bit (see bobw for details)
Posted by: stelmodad at December 12, 2005 04:32 PMI love it! But I love it most when McMom makes it!
Posted by: austina at December 12, 2005 04:50 PMI like it, but the Colorado Springs brand "Lucerne" is the best.
Posted by: Krista at December 12, 2005 05:45 PMI like egg nog the way Bob prefers it as well! Have you ever had snow cream???
Posted by: RobU at December 12, 2005 06:20 PMMaybe a little late on the questions, yes I like egg nog, with or without the "juice", it has bee so long since I put alcohol in it, I don't remember if I do, I used to.
Posted by: Tiffany at December 13, 2005 09:04 AMI love it, but I really only like it the way McMom makes it. Otherwise I can only have a little bit because it is to thick. And by the way I made some for our church Christmas banquet and it was gone in 10 minutes! No egg whites though, evidently if it is humid you can't get egg whites to get fluffy, I tried for over 30 minutes.
Posted by: S-G at December 13, 2005 09:14 AMNothing goes better with Christmas cookies and fudge than egg nog! I find that the local dairies usually have better eggnog than the big conglomerates. This year I've seen Jack Daniel's egg nog in the store. Haven't tried it though.
