Looking forward

This is a week of preparation, a week to look forward to next week, when all the stuff of this week and the weekend is over. And that is probably a terrible thing to say.

Next week, my parents will be gone, Fuller's birthday and party will have passed, all the homecoming activities will have been attended, and we can go back to living in our comfortable ways of squalor.

But before we can get to next week, we have to get through this week. We have to declutter, cleanse, rinse, and repeat. We have groceries to buy, weeds to pull, grass to mow, leaves to compost, laundry to finish, cupcakes to make and decorate, homecoming activites to attend, and Fun! to be had with relatives. And then there is the normal that occurs between the abnormal- diaper changes, fully nutritional meals to prepare, workouts to complete, and playing with Fuller in his swing.

Doesn't this all mean that it is time for my fairy godmother to swoop in and send me off in a magic pumpkin? It is pumpkin season.
