Vacation catch up

Ok, my grandmother's PC has been "fixed" so i can now blog faster here. I have been using my Treo 650 at the gymnastics finals to update, but I started to get a headache looking at the screen for too long.

The vacation part of this trip to Auburn has been lots of fun and relaxing. When we (Daddy, Fuller, & myself) got here Thursday we unloaded and I immediately left for session one. My grandmother is thrilled to have us visiting.

In case I haven't mentioned it, my father is going to Iraq next week. So his purpose on this trip is to spend time with family before flying out. So I don't have too much mother guilt leaving Fuller with my dad because he really wants to spend time with his only grandchild- good and bad stuff.

Yeasterday Fuller met his first cousins, once removed- Avery, Sam, & Emily. Sam & Emily (ages 4 & almost 2) spent most of the day with us while their mother was doing some business during the day. Avery showed up when her school was over. Sam & Emily really enjoyed being with Fuller. Sam was sweet and picked up the toys that Fuller dropped and Emily liked to tell us how soft Fuller is. (And he is soft.)

Last night Uncle John & his wife Donna took us out to dinner at an Italian restaurant inside the Auburn University hotel. It was an amazing dinner, very good food and Fuller behaved most of the time. It was a little past his bedtime, but he had minimal fussiness. Leah arrived during dinner and when we had finished eating, she and I took off for the third session.

Being in Auburn is really neat. The University is very pretty and sometimes I long for college days and wonder how I would have fared by going somewhere other than Covenant. Getting to the sesions I keep finding new ways to reach to Colliseum. There is construction going on right in the middle of the campus, so streets are blocked off at inopportune times. But I know, as long as I get back to Toomer's corner, I can get back to Grandma's house.

Wel, Fuller just woke up from his morning nap. We are heading to Lake Martin (to my Uncle's lake house) for the day and a cook out. The last session is tonight- the event finals. This should be a fun day.

Must be nice to have a day at the lake. It's so yucky here...it is 44 and we have a wintery mix coming down. Yuck, where's my 70 and sunny?

It was great having all of you here. Thanks for coming. I still am not clear how this happened but I liked it. Grandma
