Shooting at the Atlanta Courthouse

Well, downtown Atlanta is abuzz this morning. Unfortunately it's for very disturbing reasons. Apparently a rape suspect grabbed a gun from a court deputy and shot and killed a judge and a court reporter. He's currently at large in the area. This is all going on about 8 blocks from here. Our section of Atlanta is running pretty normally, except that every tv in every store and resuarant is showing the story.

CNN just broadcast as interview with another court reporter who's wondering if her best friend was the court reporter who was killed.

Now, apperently, the suspect car-jacked an Atlanta Journal Constitution reporter to get out of the area. The AJC reporter was released and is in the hospital now.

Now they're showing pictures of the electronic interstate signs that they've changes to alert poeple to be on the lookout for the green Honda Accord, and to call 911 if he's spotted. You know, that's a pretty nice use of those signs. They usually just tell you how backed up the traffic is.
